If you are using Safari on macOS, you may be unable to play certain presentations without changing a setting.
These are typically presentations authored in Adobe Presenter – where the status bar in the presentation will say Buffering, but won’t start to play.
Note This does not apply to viewing recordings in things like Panopto/Aston Replay, Kaltura, or Blackboard Collaborate Recordings.
You will need to amend Safari’s settings for Aston’s Blackboard.
Steps
Click the Safari menu item, then Settings for This Website
Change the Auto-Play setting from ‘Stop Media with Sound’ to Allow All Auto-Play- Reload the page and the presentation will play.
